One Fine Art credit must be earned for graduation, and at least .5 of that one-credit requirement must be in a Performing Art (Band, Chorus, Dance or Theater) or a Production Art (Journalism, Yearbook, Graphic Design or Digital Media – Irish Media Network). #IrishArts

Megan Birkel Performing Arts Center
BANDThe Knoxville Catholic Band is a diverse performing ensemble and is a member of the East Tennessee State Band and Orchestra Association (ETSBOA). The band regularly competes in Regional Concert Band festivals and clinics.
Band Director, Mr. Jay Romines has grown the reputation of the KCHS Band into one of the most well-regarded and awarded programs in East Tennessee, earning Superior ratings year after year.
The group also performs at football games, pep rallies, fall, winter and spring concerts and other events.
The band places a strong emphasis on individual musicianship with several members placing in the All-State Band and Orchestras each year.
CHORUSKCHS Choirs are a dedicated group of students, devoted to making and sharing choral music. With four different choirs, there is something for everyone, no matter the level of previous experience.
The Premier KCHS Singers are the vocal music ambassadors of Catholic High. This versatile group performs at various sporting events, masses, local and regional festivals and recruiting trips for the choral program.
Choral Director Phil Holloway guides students to learn vocal technique, sight-reading and music theory. Advanced students enjoy intense, focused choral rehearsals and sing a repertoire of advanced difficulty.
